Long time no see!
No particular reason for going missing for the last few weeks. I’ve been feeling pretty scatterbrained and disorganized, and as a result I’ve felt overwhelmed by everything, even though nothing really out of the ordinary has happened. Oh well, hopefully it’s just a phase.
Here’s a quick rundown of some little things I’ve been into during my weeks away from the blog world:
Yoga
I’m trying to mix up my workouts a little more so that I’m not just running all the time. Now that I’m done with my half marathon, I’m enjoying these excellent yoga dvds. I think yoga is pretty difficult in general, but Power Yoga dvd is especially challenging. I was sore for 2 days after completing only 30 minutes. Then again, I’m pretty out of shape when it comes to yoga, so that might not be saying much.
NPR Podcasts
Fresh Air and This American Life are excellent for getting through longer cardio workouts without getting bored.
La Croix
Spring is in the air in San Diego (most days), and I’ve been interested in cold bubbly beverages in addition to lots of hot (and cold) tea. I recently discovered the Peach Pear flavor of La Croix, and it is definitely my favorite ever. Coconut is also a classic, of course.
Fine Moisturizing Products
Spring may be in the air, but it’s still only February, and winter skin is still out to get me. I’ve been fighting back with the following:
For arms and legs.
For hands. That one on the left is Hemp Hand Protector from The Body Shop. These two are lifesavers for working a job where I’m constantly washing my hands.
For lips. My dad introduced me to this stuff, and it is top notch. It’s also really inexpensive and can be found at Whole Foods.
Farmers Market Fruit
My parents visited recently, and we visited 3 markets during the time they were here. I found some new favorite things.
My two current favorites:
Blood oranges.
Asian pears.
What’s new with you in the last few weeks? Catch me up!

Glad to see you’re back online and well and alive. I found myself clicking on your blog shortcut on my homepage to see whether I’d missed anything – only to find I hadn’t.
Nothing exciting happening here, just a lot of little things. Tomorrow, I’ll be helping some women make their first bracelets. They will be wives of farmers in town for the Dairyland Seed Conference so it should be a whole new world to explore with them. I abandoned plans to volunteer at the local humane facility. Just didn’t feel right and I’m sorry but I didn’t really want to wash dog dishes when all I wanted was to take them for a walk.
I am planning to volunteer at the SJA library soon – after I get my anti-pedophile training. Life certainly is getting complicated. Next I’ll probably need have gun awareness training!
Oh, and we’ve begun planting seeds. Spring is in the air around here too!
